This one actually happened a few weeks ago. I was doing a demo on a cabin and got hit in the head with a 12 foot 2x6. Nothing serious just a bump but the swelling and black eyes made my wife nervous so she made me go to the ER. I was stressed out and having a difficult day so my stutter was just horrible and while trying to check in I could barely get my name and date of birth out. It was packed and this woman kept saying louder and louder SIR I DONT UNDERSTAND YOU! finally I pointed at my head and it became this whole mess of people rushing me around and 50 different Dr's looking me over while I waited for a cat scan because they thought I had a brain bleed causing my stutter. It stressed me to the limit and I just shut down because speaking was getting me no where and the embarrassment was unbearable. While people kept asking me questions and grilling me trying to make me speak I texted my wife to come help explain but she didn't get there till after I had my cat scan. They found I was fine obviously but became upset because they thought I was messing with them. When my wife finally got there to explain I just grabbed my shit and stormed out because I had had enough. I mean I guess it's funny now but man it pushed me right over the edge feeling helpless not being able to speak properly and say I'm fine.
