I am a woman I'm 30's and the anxiety is slowly killing me. I have a mild stutter with moderate flareups that last for a few months at times and they are always a surprise. But they disappear before I can build any real coping skills then I'm fluent for months, then again a flare up with unremitting anxiety. Sometimes I wish I had a really severe and constant stutter and perhaps I wouldn't worry as much. Seems to me the people who are not covert have a much easier time reaching acceptance than those who can sustain fluency for long periods of time. At least they can build proper coping skills. I wish you the best.
