If you've already made the decision to quit, then technically there's no need for you to report the comments. But consider that a future worker (or even other current workers) could be bad-mouthed by that employee and further lead to a toxic workplace. So by reporting it, you're protecting future innocent people from verbal abuse by a jerkoff. Congrats on the new job.
