Well before I started to stutter, I didn’t think anything of it but I come from a background of doing daycare my whole life. We had plenty of children with stutters so we learned to grow patient with them. So when someone has a stutter, it doesn’t bother me and I definitely don’t think any less of the person. Now as a person who stutters, I have learned that those who are ignorant or not patient enough to listen to me talk probably do think I’m slow or some poor charity case. Those who are willing to learn and are trying to be or are understanding, are probably people who are trying to change the stigma for you and want to be that person who doesn’t care that you stutter. Coming from two sides of the coin you get very different thought processes I think.
