I have 2 kids 8 and 2. My 8 year old doesn’t stutter and my 2 year has some instances of it but too young to see if it’ll stick. I mean I don’t want my kids to stutter but I understand it’s a risk (genetics). I find the hardest thing for me is interacting with other parents. I come off as shy but it’s because it’s literally hard to speak with stuttering. I don’t love the phone but sometimes you just have to make appointments for your kid or call their school. Parenting is hard regardless. But I’ve been living with stuttering way longer than I’ve been a parent. If anything all the tough things that come along with parenting have made me focus on stuttering less.
