I'm so sorry this happened to you!! My stutter is pretty moderate but I have dealt with severe bullying throughout primary school, which makes it incredibly difficult to make friends. I haven't lived your life but both kids and adults can be assholes sometimes, and there are many adults who may excel in school, have large friend groups, and seem to have everything put together, but they may be immature or unsympathetic to the struggles of others. I've dealt with an almost similar situation in high school whereby I was unable to say my last name in front of my whole grade. That was one of the worst moments of my life, but you have to remember that you're only human and whether or not you see it as a blessing in disguise or a curse, it makes the act of speaking significantly more difficult than the rest of the population. If any of the people who laughed at you or put you down due to your speech had to deal with what we do for just one month, they likely wouldn't be able to handle it. Again, I don't know your life but what you went through was probably very painful, so please have compassion for yourself but remember that these people may not have been the best, but their are so many people who won't care about your stutter. Try to keep going and remember there will always be sunlight after the rain.
