I had a teacher stand me up at the front of the class when I was 7 because I couldn't say my name. She kept shouting at me, over and over, "just say your name, what on earth is wrong with you?!" She made me stand there, struggling, I would guess for around 45-60 seconds, (felt like a millennium), letting the entire class laugh at me. Her name was Mrs Oakley and I came to despise that woman with every fibre of my being. Not only did my stutter become worse from that day, it was the first time I felt stupid and self-conscious about it. The trauma was very real. I'm sorry you suffered a similar experience ♥️
