I've met other stutterers over the years, but as a very covert stutterer, I never said anything to them. When I was younger I'll confess that I felt quite shamed and alarmed to encounter another stutterer ("It takes one to know one; what if they realize?!"). Fucked up, I know. I hope that now I'd be more open about it, and say something if appropriate.
