I perfectly understand what you mean! Even when people know I have a stutter & I try to talk about it, they react by telling me I don't have a problem at all. I feel like this invalidates and denies a major component of our experience and reality, but often, it comes from good intentions. They think they're being kind by pretending that the stutter does not exist. I examined this issue quite a bit in an article I wrote.
