Idk I mean, I don’t agree with all of what u said above. He explained ALL the crutches every single one of them(and YSK there r 13 not 12) and then summarized/listed them at the end of the book. But the first half is basically all about the crutches so I’m not sure wym by that. I do agree though he really doesn’t get to the point in some parts and that gets irritating but those parts I just skim through. And the autosuggestions, he DID mention how to do it(not often,but he did). He said that we should visualize ourselves while saying it i don’t really remember much but he also gave the 10 auto suggestions you Could use if you can’t come up with your own. And the self hypnosis is more of an optional part for the severe ones which you aren’t(you mentioned you’re a mild one). But not everything works for everyone which is fine, just don’t state the wrong things, some people could really improve their stutter with that book(i.e.,me).
