I can’t tell if I stutter or if I just speak unusually? I struggle to speak clearly but I can’t tell if I actually have a stutter or if I just can’t seem to speak like others do. I do repetitions often, though not with any specific sound (that I know of). I also do this annoying this (that I didn’t even notice until it was pointed out to me) that I’ll stop a word in the middle and just repeat it when I’m talking. I know I also struggle with actually saying sounds in words instead of just kind of slurring them and people legitimately don’t know what I’m saying sometimes. When I have a hard time getting words out I’ll literally have to stop and start all over and it gets really frustrating. I definitely can’t read out loud well and speaking in front of a crowd is good only if I’ve practiced something specific and memorized it and go really slowly. I’m not sure since I’ve never had a dr’s opinions and I’ve only more recently noticed it be an issue, though I’ve always spoken like this. Thoughts?
