I’ve stuttered throughout my whole life, and while it has gotten better since high school, I still have issues, especially during those stupid classroom introductions. I still have people who laugh in my face, but don’t let that hinder your success. Turns out that one of my closest friends laughed at me when he first asked what my name was and I stuttered. We are roommates now. I used to beat myself up about stuttering in front of people, but now I just don’t care. Even the people who seem to make fun of you can turn out to be really important people in your life. In terms of meeting girls at college, I’ve failed, but not due to stuttering. There just aren’t many options in engineering majors, at least at my school.
