I'd also add that stuttering is not very common. Let's pretend for a moment, i don't know - Let's say that you had another condition that's quite uncommon... i really don't want to pick one, as it migjt suggest i think stuttering and "it" whatever "it" is are comparable, but for sake of the analogy Let's go with.... Wearing an eye patch. It demonstrates the person either has an injured eye, or worse (missing!). If that were you and she had said "...he wears an eye oatch, so don't stare..." As others have said, i think it shows 2 things; 1) she wants you to be treated with respect and fairness 2) she doesn't trust in the friend that THAT level of respect and fairness would occur without the warning 3) she just wants to be double-triple sure there is no awkwardness when the friend meets u. It all speaks about her feelings for you and her "insecurity" in the reaction to "your eye patch" by her friend :)
