My stutter is affecting my career I suffer from a prolonged stutter, which means that I "stretch" words that start with specific letters, especially when I feel uncomfortable. now I'm in a customer service course to become an incoming call representative, and today was the qualification phase for the job, where I basically take calls from real customers and help them. This is not my first time working in customer service but the feedback that I received was pointing towards the stuttering issue. I didn't pass because of my light stutter, because it interferes the fluency of the message that I am trying to pass to the customer, and it also sounds like I'm not confident during the call, but they gave me another chance to improve myself during the next three days. I don't know really what to do, I really want the job, it has what I want in terms of benefits etc, and every other requirement for the role i fulfill perfectly, but my stutter is getting in my way to become an even better employee. How can I overcome this?
