Unfortunately this is correct. I'm 31 and had a extremely hard life on top of severe stuttering and I'm surprised I haven't tried to commit suicide yet. Having a severe stutter as a young man no matter how hard you try people won't take you seriously and try to bully you & not only that you have to experience pain and embarrassment every time you try to experience normal things in life. It's like you either spectate in life or you have to go trough pain & trauma just to do normal social things..I've had numerous breakdowns because of the pain of stuttering & other problems. But the only way out is to truely deep inside be content with who you are. Even if you don't feel content. Act like you don't care and go live your life anyway. It's a extremely hellish existence when you let stuttering or other handicaps put you on the shelf for life...you have yo try to live life to the fullest as much as you can and not focus on the stutter. I'm still struggling and at 31 yrs old there is no end in sight, stuttering has ruined my life up until this point but I have no choice but to keep trying to enjoy life and not let it hold me back. Keep your head up guys/girls it can't hold you back if you don't care what people think enough to let it.
