Yes, it's funny actually. I don't stutter when I read out loud to myself, but when I order food at a restaurant I do. For example at Subway I stutter when I say "mayonnaise" but I can say it out loud when I'm alone at home just fine. Or at Denny's when I ask for "iced water" or just simply "water" I stutter on the "w" and "i", but at home I can say those words just fine.
