I've had people ask once or twice when I was younger, but it's definitely not a question I get often - Which is surprising, because I *do* actually have Tourette's lmao. I should probably be mad at the "TikTok-ification" of Tourette's, and I am for the most part. People pretending to have a disease just for attention is disrespectful, no matter what. At the same time, it's actually kind of nice not having to explain what Tourette's is whenever it comes up. When I'm stuttering real bad, my girlfriend can just just say "Sorry, he has Tourette's and also stutters sometimes" and people usually know what we're dealing with right off the bat. I usually answer a couple questions/misconceptions which I don't mind at all, but I rarely have to explain the entire thing from scratch anymore. Bonus point, I've had a persistent cough for a year now. I finally saw a doctor about it today, and she asked if it gets worse when I'm stressed or upset, like I don't know what is/isn't a tic. So that was frustrating in the moment, but funny in retrospect lol
