I stuttered, and I grew up in the US with what at the time was a unique name that EVERYONE butchered. So I ended up giving myself a nickname that was easy for everyone to pronounce. Since then I’ve even given myself other names that are completely not related to my own. I have different names for different occasions. We live in a free world.
