I already am fluent. Did you watch the video I shared, and others of mine? Those goals that you've mentioned do help you to achieve fluency. But why stop once you've achieved those things? There's always more to strive for - hence never settling. When I was a teenager I wanted to communicate better, build confidence, have an easier life. If that answers your question. Honestly speaking, from personal experience, putting pressure on yourself can bring about amazing results...if you're proactive about it and have the mindset of progression. If you beat yourself up (which is what it sounds like you're saying) and then that's counterproductive - for anybody. You can aim as high as your want - or as low as you want - for your goals. You can do whatever you want. This is my take on things. From somebody who had a severe stutter for most of his life to becoming a very fluent speaker.
