I recently got a job in a bookshop, where I speak to many customers. Speech has improved a lot Hey guys, Started this job a week ago. I do a lot of tasks around the shop, mainly as a cashier and helping customers find specific books or sections of the store. It seems that being forced to speak so often to strangers has given me a lot of practice and confidence in speaking. I still struggle with the first word of a sentence sometimes but that's silent and most people don't even notice. If they do, nobody has said anything. I was very worried that i'd freeze up but that hasn't happened yet. I even did some business over the phone, which I never thought I'd do. Does anyone else wanna share their experience working in retail/customer service?
