i thought my stutter will go away My stutter started when I was in 3rd/4th grade and I thought everyone has the same problem as me and people who don't have stutter are lucky.I don't speak much but my grades were pretty good so I was called for an interview for a prestigious school.I thought I could speak properly but when the interviewer asked for my name and school I couldn't even say a word.Everyone looked at me and waited for me to answer the question and I answered it but it took a long time for me to complete a single sentence. That was the moment that I know I have problem with my speech.By the way I got into a good school without an interview so I considered myself lucky.A lot of student in my new school have good communication skill so I never volunteer myself to talk or doing things that require public speaking.I just talk when the teacher asked me to read something and it rarely happened as I stuttered a lot when I read so my teacher might know I have a stutter. My friends always made fun of my stutter but I just let it go as I need friends to speak for me for some occasions like ordering at a restaurant or something like that.I had an oral test for a major exam when I was 15 and I did really bad my teacher asked me to work on my communication skill haha. But I got an A because I think the teachers did not want to ruin the school's GPA.I was lucky when I was 16 as the my teacher forgot about the oral test. The thing is I had another oral test, which is for my native language.I was absent on d-day so I need to go to the teacher myself and just do the public speaking to her,not the entire class.I just noticed how bad my stutter was when I could not go pass a sentence in my native language.I know I need to speak a lot during interview but I thought my stutter will go away when I grow up, which is wrong.I will have an interview next Monday and I really want it as it is pretty hard to get invited for the interview. It will be a group interview so I was worried about what the others will think about me.At this moment I just want to get pass the interview without embarassing myself.Do you guys have any tips for the interview like how to tell my name without stuttering??And how to hide my stutter as well because I afraid that the interviewer could not understand that I have speech problem and they might think that I have low confidence, which I want to avoid as I might lost the chance for the scholarship.I stutter more frequent with vocal letters. ((Sorry for my bad grammar,English is not my first language 😁😁))
