stuttering characters that aren't a joke?????

stuttering characters that aren't a joke????? have you ever watched a movie/show or read a book or whatever that included a character who stuttered and wasn't dumb as hell? I didn't. it's like the only thing we're good at is being clowns and making people laugh. and the most embarassing thing is when I'm watching a movie with friends and family and there's a stuttering character and it just.... makes me feel so uncomfortable.
