I think you are mixing up multiple things. First and foremost, can you live a happy and fulfilling life being a stutter? YES. People learn to live with their disability and still enjoy life. Can you do EVERYTHING that non-stutters can do? NO, you will have to live within your limitations. What is a "lower standard of living"? how will you measure it? This is purely subjective. Some people are born blind, some are born mute, and i can go on listing all the ailments people are born with. They all will have to learn to live with it as you will need to live with yours.
