My strategy: I have a card that basically says that sometimes I sound like yelling but I'm not angry, and sometimes I frown for no reason and that I have a speech impediment. I show the card when I sense that accidental yelling might have happened. I also have it as a saved phrase on my phone so I can press a button and the phone will say it for me. I'm also considering just using tone indicators that some autistic people use. I mean stating my intended tone before I say something. Three examples follow. * "Neutron tone. There seems to be confusion. I will explain" * "Angry tone. Angry for you. The way he treated you is insane." * "Sarcasm tone. You did a very good job." Also, emotion indicators. * "Feeling worry. are you ok?" * "Feeling misunderstood. I owe you some explanation. Let me explain." * "Feeling pride for you. You did very a good job."
