Joined the Army in 2006 not long after high school. Had a moderate stutter. My stutter miraculously vanished during basic training. Not sure if it was because I was constantly yelling, the change in environment, boost in self-worth/confidence, or what. I was able to live my life as if I had no stutter! I thought I was cured. Then some traumatic shit happened around the end of my service and my stutter came back. I've been out for almost 12 years now and my stutter is the worst it has ever been and seems to get worse every year :/
