It does suck and I’m sorry you had such a shitty day. You got the job because you’re qualified. I’m not a PWS so I can’t give you btdt experience. Names suck because there’s no easy workaround. Are you solo when you do these? Can you get an ally to shout out the name of the company? Humor sometimes helps in these situations. Like get the crowd to say the name of the company and give a quick self disclosure that you have a stutter and it’s hard to say D and of course you work for - motion to the crowd. It might get people engaged and on your side. If you’re ready to quit then you have nothing to lose. Sometimes when we’re in these “fuck it” moments, there’s a breakthrough. I say go for it. Start looking if you’re not happy there, hang on as long as you can and treat it like practice. Although you can practice and have it perfect and then the moment comes and it gets stuck. People who don’t stutter don’t get that.
