Not as much experience as some of the other folks here, but I TA'd years ago and I have also had to give a number of big research talks in front of large groups. You get a lot better at it just with doing it -- I remember feeling like it was the end of the world at first and now it feels like an inconvenience. If you want to do it, you should definitely try!
