Had the same problem with Alexa and was very frustrating. I mean it's a machine and no one is in the room with me, but after a while she got used to me and started to understand me, that or my tension eased when I spoke to it. LOL the feeling was odd, I get not wanting to speak to a person, but it felt strange to me not wanting to speak to a machine.
