My stutter also gets seemingly worse when I’m anxious, nervous, or in new situations. What helped me is over-exposing myself socially and realizing that nobody cared more about my stutter then…me. I’m mostly fluent now, sometimes I still get blocks but I’m still learning and growing as a person - getting into new situations, experiences, etc. Do you have a job? I worked a lot in retail and having to do customer service really helped me become more exposed to my stuttering and seeing other people’s “reactions”. You’re human, their human - I bet you’re not still thinking about the last person you saw in a wheel chair? Excuse my rant, just some food for thought.
