I don't get this so much. But whenever I give a speech or presentation, I always get feedback like "congratulations, you did really well", "excellent delivery", etc. Fuck off, I dragged out a 15 minute presentation to 45 minutes, including cutting out half the material. I know damn well it was an absolute horror show and could see you all shifting awkwardly and trying to occupy yourself with the suddenly-fascinating label on your water bottle. So I'm pretty skeptical of any positive feedback I ever get.
