Man you and your girlfriend are FUCKING CHAMPS. Keep your head held high, I just got into college and got into a dorm with 3 other people and one of the first thing I told to every single one of them is that I stutter. From there on I didn't have as much anxiety trying to talk to people if you just let everybody know you have a issue. Get the elephant out of the room ASAP. Then one day one of my roommates brought their friends over to play games and just chill. It was awkward for the first couple hours because I didn't know them or talk too much, then we played a verbal game and I told my one roommate 'Yo how tf am I gonna do this' and he told everybody that I have a stutter and nobody seemed to really care. Fast forward to the next day we play some games and stuff again and just chill and make jokes, the day after that we (The 8 or 9 of us) went out to eat and we got some food at a restaurant. It was weird being with people 3 days in a row because I was so used to just maybe going out once every 2 months or so to hang with my friends that it just felt unnatural for the first time in my life I actually felt welcome and apart of a circle.
