it's not a virus that goes around and the kid could catch but i wouldn't be surprised if the following *could* happen: let's assume a kid stutters and gets special attention/treatment because of its stutter from a person of trust or authority/parent/teacher and another kid observes this (regularly) and longs for the same attention/treatment because it appreciates that person of trust or is jealous of the stuttering kid....and subconsciously starts to mimic the stutter to get that attention....i'm not a therapist though
