I remember when I entered speech therapy I was "on the border of very severe" now I would classify myself as moderate on average. I honestly don't think acceptance - for me, at least - is possible at the very severe level. At that level it's just such a fundamental impairment that it makes it very difficult to make friends or have a job. I think you need speech therapy immediately. You are able to get rid of the facial contortions; I had them before I took intensive speech therapy. As my old speech therapist say "you may not be able to change that you stutter, but you are able to change *how* you stutter. I think stuttering is a neurological problem. I know it's difficult at your age, but try not to base your self-worth on how others view you. This gets easier as you age (I'm only 10 years older than you but I remember being 18). Great men set their own standards and live by those. They are not slaves to the thoughts and impressions of others. Hope this was helpful.
