We don’t know if stuttering runs in my husband’s family because he doesn’t know his biological father. He was hesitant to have kids because of that, because he didn’t want his kids to have the same experience he did. But, they won’t. Even if our kids stutter, they’ll have a family that loves them and accepts them and supports them through it. I think once he realized that he felt more comfortable with the idea of having kids.
