you’re honestly spot on. deep down i know nobody will really care about my stutter, but the thought of them thinking “has he got something wrong with him?” bothers me more than it should lol. i just wish it wasn’t awkward when i do stutter in conversations cos as soon as i start stuttering, panic sets in, which makes the stutter worse and i end up just muddling up all my words. i’ve noticed that faking my confidence helps me power thru certain situations so i’m gonna walk into my interview head held high and just try not to panic. my old speech therapist told me that when i feel the panic setting in, just pause, take a breathe and carry on like it didn’t happen. i’d like to think the people i talk to ignore it, which they mostly do, but i fear they talk about it when i’m not there. then again i’m probably not that important haha. thank you for your reply and encouragement, i really do appreciate it :)
