just a bad stuttering experience that i wanted to share i’ve posted here before but i thought i’d share an experience i had in public that occurred almost four years ago. one summer at my public pool, i went to the snack bar to order some chicken fingers. when i went up to order, i stuttered while trying to say “chicken” (ended up sounding like “can i have an order of chchchchchicken fingers?”). the cashier gave a smile but not a sympathetic one for sure. i noticed her write on the notepad beside her (used for writing down orders) “ch ch ch ch chicken fingers”. she literally wrote out my stutter. then she looked up and me and asked “do you want extra ch ch ch with your chicken fingers?” for whatever reason, i couldn’t process what she said and awkwardly said no. after sitting down while i waited, i realized what all had happened and got pissed. i felt hurt. long story short, my mom and i told the manager and that cashier ended up being fired which was good. and you’d think that was the end of it right? nOPE i started my sophomore year of high school just a few weeks later and met some girl in one of my classes who told me she got fired from the snack bar of the local swim club. i put two and two together but she denied it. after getting to know her she turned out to be super annoying and mean and just a horrible person in general so i’ve concluded that it was her. sorry this was long. just wanted to share
