There was a law professor who stuttered at Columbia Law School (a top 5 law school in the US) when I was choosing among law schools. I attended one of his classes to get a feel for the school. He ABSOLUTELY stuttered - there was no hiding it. No one who attended his class could miss it. And yet, he taught at one of the best law schools in the country! I am wrapping up a day of practicing law - and I spoke on the phone twice, both times to my boss (and I'm pretty sure he didn't want to talk to me - haha). The entire rest of the day I just wrote, sent emails, etc. It's a profession that you could definitely do with limited amounts of talking.
