I block on words completely.I'll go to say ''relatively'', and instead I'll stammer out ''rrrrrrrrrrelatively''.i doubt it was triggered by something traumatic, as I have been through pretty depressing stuff in the past without noticing any major changes in my fluency, aside from speaking slower and with less energy and passion.I'm under the impression that I'm going through the same things that some kids, who were part of an experiment on the causes of stuttering in kids, went through. They had 2 groups of kids, one made up of habitual stutterers, the other of children who spoke normally. They comforted the kids with the stutter, causing them to speak more fluently, but they shouted at the kids and ordered them not to stutter at all when they spoke, which resulted in those kids (who had up until that point never stuttered) begin stuttering, ironically, because of how nervous they were about not stuttering. So what kind of a stutter do you have? Also, do you stutter when you shout or whisper?
