Avoidance Reduction Therapy or nearly every cognitive therapy is coaching you to accept your stutter which can improve your fluency by 90% counted by Minnesota University and yeah, don't try to hide or prevent yourself from stuttering cuz if you stutter, you stutter and just let it go. Trying techniques will always tend to crack youself up and the more anxious/afraid you are, the more severe you are about to stutter. So I think that's why there is a hearsay ongoing that the mainstream therapies are transitioning from speech therapies into coginitive therapies such as self-acceptance, bc speech therapies are all the time coaching some unrealistic and backfiring techniques to you like taking deep breaths, splitting, compounding, and etc., which is to say, they are only deteriorating your stutter, not good at all, while desensitizing, or similar cognitive therapies can guarantee a 90% reduction of stutter.
