I don't do it as much anymore but if you really need to, it's a good way to speak fluently. But things like your name, city, street, school, address (eleven used to kill me and I was in Year 11 for an entire year!) that have exact names, you just have to go through the block and keep doing it because you'll get better at it. Like today I read out a serial code to my friend (letters and numbers e.g AB3TU48) but at first I had to stop in between because I just kept blocking. Then I tried it again and I don't know if I took breathes or I relaxed and I could do it a lot better than the first time. It takes practice but you can choose what you prefer to do depending on the way you choose to be in control of your stutter.
