Stuttering has affected my life in numerous ways. I was always bullied as a kid, so I learned to hide my stuttering using filler words or circumlocution. Stuttering influenced how I made friends, my relationships, and even my career. In my 20's I decided to go to speech therapy. My SLP referred me to the National Stuttering Association, which was life changing. I am now an undergrad in an SLP program and I help run 2 NSA chapters in California. I would not be here today if it wasn't for my stuttering. Good luck with your major :)
