First Post First time posting. Been following for a while. Kinda long. I am 40 and have had a stutter since around age 9. Literally don’t know where it came from. I can relate to everything that everyone has been saying recently. 1-The going to speech class and literally playing games. COMPLETE WASTE 2-Friends and classmates making fun of your speech. 3-Speaking fine one minute and then freezing the next. Changing words in sentences so it’s easier to talk. 4-Purposely not doing class assignments to avoid talking in front of class. 5-The feeling of being watched and looked down upon because you speak differently. 6-Choosing not to speak so you don’t feel embarrassed. 7-Wanting to order a meal but changing because you couldn’t get it out. Definitely not a picky eater. My wife literally orders for me at times. (Think she senses it) I’ve been there, done that. Still do. For whatever reason, we were chosen to be different in our own unique way. Remind yourself to embrace it and go about our day just like everyone else.
