I completed an enneagram personality test recently which confirmed I'm a perfectionist and it made me realise that I'm expecting perfect speech of myself which is an impossible goal. Nobody's speech is perfect. Everyone has fluency issues is some way they just don't think of it as a stutter. Even my own dad who I can hear stutter, I don't think he realises when he does it. I'm in my late 30's now so hopefully (fingers crossed) I could have 50 years left of life. I do expect to stutter on my final day alive so I'm trying to not stress about it now and accept it. Leave the block happen as most people don't even pay attention they are wrapped up in their own heads.
