It sounds so annoying to say but as someone here has said, just do it! You will always face bad days but if you want the chance to have some really really good days then you need to decide today to go for it! Never ever let your stutter stop you from doing something you really want to do - if you keep on avoiding things, yes you might not experience that awful feeling when you stutter but you will live to regret it. As stutterers our superpower is that we get to face adversity every day, which builds this incredible resistance and each day and each task gets a little bit easier each time. Speaking is like a muscle, the more we push ourselves the better we get and the less stuttering experiences affect us emotionally. I know you can do it, everything you need, all the strength is already in you! It’s just about taking the leap - you’ll be brilliant trust me. I’m 21 and I never thought I’d be in the best college in my country, I have an internship this summer, and I have worked several jobs. I didn’t think this was possible but it is! You quickly learn people don’t care about your stutter, they care about how hard you work and how much your willing to give. Think every time You put yourself out there you are exposing people to your stutter, and showing people that stuttering is normal and we are slowly changing the world and the way people see us - by putting ourselves out there we are paving the way for stutterers who come after us and making it a bit easier for them. You can do it!
