If its any consolation, I am hardly ever interested in what the TA is saying regardless of how they speak. I am a TA for a public high school myself so I get some of the struggles. Continue to be reliable and caring, you are there for academic support. Academics can be challenging to make fun and most students are not going to appreciate why you’re there. Continue to do your best because you are there for a reason and there are students who do appreciate the help. Its a job, you don’t need to be liked by everyone. If you are dreading your shifts and feel the pay isn’t enough, start looking for employment elsewhere
