Hi, Tony, it’s Sue. I think it’s a wonderful opportunity to help those suffering and seeming to have lost hope. I stuttered but what I’ve read on this site breaks my heart. Individuals who pretend to be mute, those who mention suicide, they need hope. Many live in areas without resources to assist. Not all have access though they live in first world countries. Insurance issues prevent treatment. Not all societies accept diversion from the norm and in addition to embarrassment of their stuttering, they are social outcasts. An online group would benefit in so many ways. Just the ability to share their suffering with others who truly understand would be so beneficial. The hope for improvement and possibly to overcome their stuttering would foster hope for their future. Please follow-up with Dr. McGuire on the idea for the group. Also keep in touch after you view the YouTube video. Would you like to communicate via Facebook or by phone? There are other venues that you might know of. I live in Utah. Do you live in California where Dr. McGuire practices? Let’s help others in any way we can. Sincerely, Sue
