Thank you for understanding and helping! I understand the “you got this” very much, i am the same way with other things and it definitely makes me feel worse. There’s a lot of great advice you’ve given that I will definitely be utilizing. I failed to mention that while he used to take quite a while to get a sentence or two out, he has gotten SO much better that he can talk nearly fluently now… You can definitely tell he has a stutter, he prolongs S sounds and has like ticks of moving his head or his body kind of locking, things like that. He used to get crap for it in school from what he told me but now no one bothers him, i think it’s more just his self conscious. He also wants a job that starts out with cold-calling clients, so I see why he is now fretting over his stutter again after years of seeming at peace with it. He isn’t stressing too bad, but I still would like to help. I will tell him all those things I said in the post. He knows but i will remind him because it’s probably been a while:) I think we have a great relationship, i have asked him tons of questions about his stutter and i have learned some very interesting things, like about how his body locks up when he’s driving and talking so he has to stop and start over so he doesn’t crash… stuff that an average person he meets wouldn’t know. he’s so open about it with me. We actually pick on each other with love, i joke about his stutter and he jokes about my “flaws” but we both die laughing. Anywho, I just needed a little boost of ideas on helping him since he wants to prove he can do this job. You have helped immensely, thank you again!
