Personally, I never had the stuttering trouble. It was even worse for me. My hands and whole body would start to shake. But those were all my initial experiences. After 5 or 6 failed interviews, I learned how to present myself and to be confident. What I learned is that it is totally "okay" to fail! In your case, you're a translator, and if your job really depends on talking, then yes, you need to overcome this stuttering problem eventually. Keep practicing in front of mirrors and rehearse with your friends, and maybe your family would really help you out.
