It's a long process to change your way of thinking and not feeling hurt. It's a good thing to be emotional, don't think you suddenly have to suppress those feelings, it's more about developing a thicker skin and letting those comments bounce off you. Because ultimately, they don't say anything about you but a lot about the person who makes the comment. There is a great, free online CBT program for people who stutter, that works on changing thought patterns. I can really recommend it https://iglebe.asrc.edu.au/ All the best for you!
