Sorry if this reply is a little everywhere, I’m in school right now. 27 here. I’ve stuttered since I was a kid, same as you. Definitely makes life MUCH harder, but not impossible man. It took a looooong time, but eventually I didn’t let my stutter control my life. Do I still avoid words or situations? Of course. But if I want to do something, I’ll go and do it, or at least give it a chance. The one thing you don’t want to do is just sit back and let opportunities go by because your stutter. And the thing with potential partners, just go for it. If they aren’t interested because of your stutter, then at least you know that person is an AH. I know it’s rough, and I know saying ‘don’t let it control you’ or ‘it gets better’ probably will mean very little, but it’s all true. Everyone’s got some sort of deficiency no matter how large or small. Ours just happens to be our speech. You said in your post you’ve got friends, so they must see something about you that interest them. It’s going to be the same with everyone else too.
